Cakes were a modifications of bread, and now cover a wide range of presentations. Even it features with other deserts such as pastries, pies, custards, meringues.
Preparation time: 10-15 minutes
Cooking time: 30-40 minutes
Total time: 40-50 minutes
Servings: 250 gram (2-3 persons)
½ cup oats
1 cup oats flour
½ cup jaggery
½ cup plain curd
½ cup milk
2-3 tbsp. ghee
½ tbsp. baking powder
¼ tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. essence (vanilla / strawberry)
Take a mixer jar. Add jaggery, ghee & curd. Mix well and pour into a bowl.
In mixture add oats, oats flour, baking powder and soda. Mix well. Then add milk, make a smooth batter. Add essence and mix well.
Take a baking tray, or a mould or any case and grease it with ghee. Pour batter into the mould and bake it in either a oven, or a pressure cooker, or tandoor for 30-40 minutes.
For decoration I have taken chocolate syrup and 1 milk bar chocolate.
• You can take wheat flour too.
• You can add chocolates, dry fruits, etc.
